Position Title:  Contract Administration Co-op


position:

This role is primarily accountable in executing and supporting daily activities in the contract administration department for the construction of residential subdivisions, commercial and municipal development projects. Project co-ordination, site inspections, writing daily progress reports, tenders and take offs are some of the main duties of the role. This position offers a great learning experience for the candidate to see a project start from a design concept to reality during construction. 

Support is provided through our Field Services Manager to the candidate. The candidate must have a driver’s license and access to a vehicle to drive to sites, some of which are in downtown Toronto, the GTA, and further outside of the GTA area. Site locations vary and the candidate should be prepared to attend multiple sites a day.  Some sites may require the candidate to commute on some of the 400 series Highways. A person with a G level license is preferred.  Mileage expenses will be reimbursed to the candidate accordingly. Safety training and gear will be provided by the company.  

  • The Contract Administrator will be responsible for assuring that his/her client's needs are identified, monitored, and addressed in a timely manner 

  • Involves cost estimation, tender and contract preparation, contractor coordination and sub-consultant management

  • Provide consistent project overviews and update to clients and client teams to ensure Client satisfaction

  • Provide constructability options to client and contractor in the event of site conflicts

  • Assist clients with bid assessment and contract award

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Articulate communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Driver’s License, has their own vehicle
