Position Title:  Project Engineer / Manager

We are looking for a Project Engineer / Manager who is driven, hardworking and collaborative, and who wants to continue to gain varied experiences in the land development industry. Someone who strives to provide their clients with an excellent experience through their professionalism and responsiveness.

 

The Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering and project management support to both PA Lead and other Project Managers within the team through independent project delivery. The individual will be the primary point of contact during the engineering design phase of projects that are assigned to them for both the client and the approval agencies. The individual will also be responsible for the financial/budget management of projects that are assigned to them, working with contract administration team to ensure a successful construction stage, and overall project delivery. The individual will be supported by the team and the company as a whole to ensure the individual, and the project’s success. The candidate should have a variety of land development projects ranging from low rise, and large scale mixed use re-development, Subdivision approvals through to Site Plan for infill developments. This position presents the opportunity to work on a large variety of land development projects across Southern Ontario and to work with diverse internal and external project teams. A successful candidate has the opportunity to take on greater responsibility and to independently manage clients and a portfolio of their own projects as their career advances.

Must Haves:

  • Civil Engineering Degree, College or University

  • Preference for a P.Eng designation

  • Minimum 7 years of civil engineering design skills

  • Experience managing project budgets and schedules

  • Experience coordinating workload and project tasks with peers

  • Full working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Ability to provide AutoCAD and design mentorship to junior staff

  • Ability to be assigned and delegate projects and project tasks and deliver a final product

  • Strong report writing skills (i.e. SWM Reports, Functional Servicing Reports, etc.)

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate project requirements with internal/external team members.

  • Driver’s licence and have access to a vehicle
